paragraph one of case study

  1. Has new and digital media had an impact upon ownership and control of the media institution(s) involved in your case study area?  Explain in detail any impact and what exactly has changed.
Firstly the reactions to new technologies such as apps have been introduced to a wide variety of websites and smartphones including the Blackberry . People have positively reacted to the apps with a surge in number of people downloading various apps . As well as this facebook has revolutionised the way people connect with many people finding long lost friends and relatives . This is because people have the ability to search for others in an easy way compared to before . There is considerable less control over the use of facebook as it has millions of registered useres therefore its hard to censor every single page , as well at its being long and costly , the police have to prioritise first which takes even more time . An example of this were the London riots in August , and more recently the Arab spring pages that have been uploaded with a surge in the numbers of people following . Facebook is owned by Mark Zuckerberg and had 845 million active users .
